Comments: CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on scene of an small aircraft down with no fire in the Temescal Valley. One passenger has been safely extricated from the plane and are enroute via ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The plane clipped a single-family home and has a fuel leak. Occupants of the home safely evacuated with no injuries. No update at this posting regarding damage to the home, but will be posted as information becomes available. Corona Fire Department Hazmat and Riverside County Health are enroute to stop the fuel leak and off-load any remaining fuel in the plane. Updates will be posted as information becomes available. NOTE: Please notice correction in number of injuries to one moderate injury. The previous posting was preliminary only. UPDATE 3:15 p.m.: Media outlets can reach the FAA regarding this incident at 425-227-2015. The solo occupant/pilot of the single-engine plane lost power and struck roof tiles of a single family home on Bolo Court, where the plane then struck a tree and landed in the street. The occupants of the home, two adults and two minors who were in the home at the time of the incident, safely escaped with no injuries. The pilot, who sustained minor injuries was transported to a local hospital. The home sustained superficial exterior damage to approximately 25' of roof tiles.
