Current Situation: Final Update: Fire declared controlled at 8:00 a.m. this morning (06/10/2012). The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Update 8:00 p.m. - Fire is 100% contained. Full control expected by 8:00 a.m. on 6/10/2012. Update 9:45 a.m.: Mapped size is 76 acres. The fire is 50% contained. Full containment expected by 8:00 p.m. this evening and full control by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning (6/10/2012). 06/09/2012 06:55 a.m.: Fire acreage and containment will be mapped and updated this morning. 7 engines, 3 fire crews and 2 water tenders are on day assignment. Updates will be posted as Update 9:35 p.m. - Fire is holding at approximately 60-80 acres and 20% contained. Unless significant fire activity or events warrant updates, the next update will be at 8:00 tomorrow morning (06/09/2012). No estimation on full containment as of yet. Update 8:10 p.m.: Fire is now approximately 60-80 acres, 0% containment with no containment. Firefighters continue suppression efforts. No injuries reported. Addtional updates will be posted throughout the night as information becomes available from the Incident Commander. Update 6:35 p.m.: Fire is now approximately 50-60 acres. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on scene of a wildland fire in the area of Indian Creek Road in the Valle Vista area. The first arriving engine reported approximately 25-30 acres burning in medium fuels at a rapid rate. Updates will be posted as information becomes available from the Incident Commander.
