Current Situation: Update 10:36 am - Day assignment consists of One battalion chief, two engines and two handcrews. Update 8:56 am 6/19/2012: California Conservation Corp was a cooperating agency at base camp for the "Highland" incident. Update 6:41 pm 6/18/2012: Fire - fully contained at 6:00 pm this evening, expected full control tomorrow evening by 6:00 pm. Final mapped acreage: 2171 acres. Update 10:15 6/18/2012: full containment expected by 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19th with full control by 6:00 p.m. the same day. Update 8:22 pm - The fire is still 2200 acres, 70% contained with full containment expected to occur at approximately 6:00 pm tomorrow evening - Monday, June 18, 2012. Update 4:59 pm - The fire is still 2200 acres, 60% contained. Full containment is now expected to occur at approximately 6:00 pm tomorrow evening - Monday, June 18, 2012. Update 12:46 pm - The fire is currently 2200 acres, 60% contained with full containment expected by midnight. Current weather: 92 degrees, 19% RH, winds 3 mph SSW. Update 8:59 am - Unless significant fire activity or events warrant updates, the next update will be at approximately 7:00 pm. No structures threatened. No injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Update 6:25 a.m. 6/17/2012 - Fire is 2200 acres and 30% contained. Updates on estimation for full containment/control will be posted as information becomes available. Ground and air resources continue the firefight today. No structures threatened, no injuries reported.
