Update: 3:24 pm - The vacant structure was completely destroyed. Due to quick fire suppression efforts, firefighters eliminated structure exposures to the structure next door. Firefighters will remain on scene for approximately 1 hour for extensive overhaul. No injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Update: 2:48 pm - Indio PD was requested to assist in the road closure of the area between Ave 48 and Monroe St. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters are on scene of a residential structure fire. First arriving engine company reported a single story, single family dwelling with smoke showing from the roof. Updates will be posted as information becomes available. |
