Current Situation: Update 2:31 pm - The patient was transported to an area hospital via ground ambulance with moderate injuries. CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to the report an injured hiker at the Ernie Maxwell Trail in Idyllwild. Firefighters are hiking in with a stokes basket to rescue the hiker. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
