Current Situation: Update 06/26/2012 9:30 a.m. - The leak was stopped just before 3:00 a.m. No injuries reported. Update 12:57 a.m.: 75000 sf of an 860,000 sf cold storage warehouse is affected by anhydrous ammonia that is leaking from a pressurized cylinder. A total of 72 employees were safely evacuated. Firefighters, Haz Mat and Environmental Health Officials will be on scene a minimum of 2-3 hours. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on scene at the Millard Refrigeration in Mira Loma to investigate an unknown substance in the building that prompted the evacuation of 50-100 employees. The Riverside County Fire Dept. Hazardous Materials Team and County Environmental Health officials are assisting to locate and identify the fumes. No injuries reported. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
