Current Situation: update 7/21/2012 08:50 a.m. - Fire was declared controlled at 08:00 this morning. Final Update 5:39 p.m. - The fire is 100% contained with a full control time expected by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning (July 21). Update 6:40 p.m. - Fire is now 75% contained. Full containement still expected by 5:00 p.m. 7/20/2012. Update 2:03 p.m. - The fire remains 60 acres, 70% contained. Estimated full containment moved to 1700 tomorrow evening (July 20). Update 8:44 a.m. - The fire remains 60 acres, but after inspecting the fire line in daylight, the containment percentage has been assessed and confirmed at 40%. The new estimated time of full containment has been pushed to tomorrow morning (July 20) at 0800. The day assignment consists of: 1 Battalion Chief, 5 engines and 4 handcrews. No structures threatened, no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Updates will be posted as information becomes available. Update 9:29 p.m. - The fire is currently 60 acres, 75% contained with an estimated full containment time at 0800, tomorrow morning (July 19, 2012). Unless significant fire activity or events warrant an update, the next update will take place at approximately 8 am. Update 7:00 p.m. - The fire is still 25 acres, 65% contained. Update 6:32 p.m. - The fire is currently 25 acres, 50% contained. No structures threatened and no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Update 4:55 p.m.: The fire area falls within multiple jurisdictional boundaries and has been determined to be in Riverside County. The fire is approximately 22 acres and remains 50% contained. No injuries reported, no structures threatened. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire, along with Corona Fire Department and Chino Valley Fire are on scene of a wildland fire off of Hwy 71, south of Euclid near the Prado Basin. The fire is approximately 20 acres in size and 50% contained. Forward spread has been stopped. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
