Current Situation: Update August 12, 2012 6:38 p.m. - The fire was 100% controlled today at 1:00 p.m. to 25 acres. Update August 12, 2012 7:32 a.m. - The fire was 100% contained on August 11, 2012 at 10 p.m. Day Assignment consists of four engines, one handcrew, one watertender and one Incident Commander. Update 8:08 p.m. - The fire is now 90% contained. Update 5:30 p.m - The fire is currently 30 acres and 30% contained. The forward rate of spread has stopped. No structures threatened. No injuries reported to firefighters or civilians. Update 4:07 p.m. - The fire is holding at 20-25 acres. Update 3:29 p.m. - California Highway Control was requested for traffic control for NB Hwy 79. Please visit the CHP website at www.chp.ca.gov for further road closure information. Update 3:11 p.m.- The fire is currently 10 acres with a slow rate of spread. Current weather: 92 degrees, 28% RH, East winds gusting to 26 MPH. CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters are on scene of a vegetation fire. The fire is currently 2-3 acres of medium fuels with a moderate rate of spread. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
