CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to a tractor and 53-foot trailer engulfed in fire on I 10 freeway in Indio. $50,000 loss to tractor and trailer with damage to cargo. There are no injuries to the two tractor occupants or firefighters. Firefighters will remain on scene for one to two hours for salvage and overhaul. CHP was requested to assist with closure of slow lane for unknown duration for vehicle removal and cleanup. Please check the chp website at www.chp.ca.gov for further road closure information. |
