Current Situation: Update 5:40 p.m. - Six occupants in the single vehicle that was temporarily stranded were assisted to a safe location at approximately 5:20 p.m. For media inquiries regarding this incident only, please contact Southern California Edison at 626-302-2255 and the Riverside County Sheriff's Office at 951-222-7536.. CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to the report of multiple power lines and poles down with one vehicle temporarily stranded due to the severe weather event in the Nuevo area. Southern California Edison is enroute to work on the multiple powerlines and poles down, specifically on Ramona Expressway which will remain closed for the duration of the incident. For further road closure information, please visit the CHP website at www.chp.ca.gov. No injuries reported to firefighters or civilians. Updates will be posted as information is received from the Incident Commander.
