Current Situation: The Riverside County Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team and County Environmental Health officals responded to a solo semi-vehicle 40-50 feet over the side into a dry creek bed, requiring extensive big rig recovery. The semi has spilled approximately 150 gallons of diesel in the drainage ditch so far. The overturned vehicle will be fully uprighted and moved onto the roadway by approximately 10:00 a.m. Lanes have been closed with assistance from Cal Trans and CHP on EB I 10. Two lanes will be re-opened at approximately 10 a.m. Please be cautious of operating vehicles assisting the incident and visit the chp website at www.chp.ca.gov for further road closure information.
