Current Situation: Update 6:35 a.m. - Per the Incident Commander, the fire was contained to the room and contents of one bedroom and the living room. The structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The loss was estimated at approximately $20,000 with an estimated save of $80,000. No injuries reported to firefighters or civilians. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Update 6:01 a.m. - Due to aggressive firefighter action, the fire was knocked down and controlled to half of the structure at approximately 5:58 p.m. CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to a residential structure fire. First arriving engine company reported a single story, single family dwelling with heavy smoke showing from the exterior. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
