Update 10:00 a.m. - Per the Incident Commander, palm trees around the abandoned structure were also on fire and have been contained. The structure will be a total loss. Firefighters will remain on scene for an additional 3-4 hours for salvage and overhaul. No injuries reported to firefighters or civilians. The cause of the fire is under investigation. CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to a residential structure fire. First arriving engine company reported a 2000 square foot, two story residential structure involved with fire. CHP and the Sheriff's Office were requested to close Harrison St for the duration of the incident. Please check the CHP website for further road closure information. Updates will be posted as information becomes available. |
