Update 1:43 p.m. - The restaurant was occupied and evacuated prior to firefighter arrival. The loss was estimated at approximately $10,000 with a save of $2,000,000.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters responded to a commercial structure fire at the Applebee's restaurant on Limonite Ave in Eastvale. Per the Incident Commander, lightning struck the exterior of the restaurant and started a small fire in the interior of the facade. Firefighters quickly contained the fire at 11:45 a.m. The restaurant will be closed until repairs are made. No injuries reported to civilians or firefighters. No damage to the interior of the structure. |
