CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Chief John R. Hawkins and Eastern Operations Deputy Chief Ignacio Otero cordially invite the media to cover the 13th Annual Riverside County Firefighter¿s Golf Association (RCFGA) Burn Foundation Golf Tournament. The event will take place at the Desert Willow Golf Resort, located at 38995 Desert Willow Drive in Palm Desert (TB 818-H2) on Friday, April 21st. Media may arrive for set-up at 9:00 a.m.

Burn injuries can have a devastating and life-altering effect on its victims physically and emotionally. Often times, treatment and rehabilitation by way of surgeries and counseling can take weeks, months and years.

Fire, law enforcement, EMS and local businesses participate in this annual event to raise funds for burn victims at the Arrowhead Regional Burn Center.

Proceeds from the RCFGA Burn Foundation Golf Tournament are presented to the Arrowhead Regional Burn Center. Over the past 12 years, the RCFGA and Riverside County public safety dispatchers have donated over $150,000 to the burn center.
